Short Bio
Dancer, performer, actress and teacher, with a background on Performing Arts graduated from the Universidade Estadual de Londrina (Brazil) and postgraduate on Visual Arts / Art - education by the same university. Milene is a master's degree in Theater from the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (Brazil) and currently conducts a PhD research in this same postgraduate program. Mainly she is interested in composition, presence and ethical- aesthetical implications on society. Also she is interested in issues related to the ungovernable body and its ways of being / doing as a power of affection. Milene works in the intersection between dance, performance and theater, developing an artistic research in the Mapas e Hipertextos collective and in the Corpo, tempo e movimento project of Florianópolis-SC. She is a researcher associated with AND Lab Research - Lisbon - Pt and Collaborating Teacher at Unespar-PR Dance Course.
